Collection: Meet Jack our friendly ghost

Jack is a practical joker who enjoys nothing more than a game of hide and seek !

Jack is rumoured to be a Drover who hailed from the North West of the country , but would twice yearly make the long and hazardous journey to Durham's famous Goose fair.

Leaving his flock of Geese in the our cellar he would then partake in enjoying the hospitality offered by our establishment in its days as a coaching inn.

However one evening Jack underestimated the potency of the local Brown Ale and unfortunately never emerged from the cellar 

Here he remains to this day'

Ever the practical joker Jack will hide and move stock on a regular basis 

In-fact if you come across a member of staff in the cellar area ! make sure they don't smell of Goose and Ale before asking for assistance
